Our History
In the early 1990s, Binkley & Hurst LP began selling farm toys from their Lititz, PA dealership parts counter, the beginnings of Outback Toys. The farm toy operation, eventually outgrowing the limited parts counter space in the mid-1990s, moved to a new building behind the Lititz dealership. Customers asking for toys were directed "out back," thus forming the name "Outback Toys" that stuck ever since!
Continuing to grow throughout the early 2000s, Outback Toys moved into a new location previously occupied by Badorf Shoe Company in 2005. The beautiful store, still in Lititz and boasting the same hardwood floors as when it served as Badorf's shoe factory, was the home of Outback Toys for nearly 17 years.
In September of 2022, another exciting chapter for Outback Toys began: Local private business owners, possessing deep agricultural roots and a strong family-oriented focus, acquired Outback Toys. In October 2022, Outback Toys moved into a new, state-of-the-art retail store and new offices just a mile from its previous location. Fittingly, this new location is "out back" behind Bomberger's Store on Route 501, just over a mile north of the Lititz Square!
Outback Toys has become one of the most distinctive shops in Lititz and Lancaster County. In a time when physical toy stores and hobby shops are hard to come by, Outback Toys offers ear-to-ear smiles for visiting customers of all ages.
