The John Deere Company began introducing the 10 Series in the year 1960. The 8010 was the “flagship” of the series. Equipped with a 6-cylinder Detroit Diesel engine with 160 KW in combination with a 9-speed transmission, it was John Deere's first articulated tractor. Due to problems with the transmission, all 100 tractors built were brought back to the Waterloo plant and rebuilt into the new Type 8020. A single example of the 8010 has survived to this day.
This replica of the John Deere 8010 tractor is made by Schuco. This tractor has a 4WD configuration. The replica is made of resin, meaning it is extremely fragile and is not in any way meant for play. This is not a toy! According to the manufacturer, it is recommended for ages 14+ years.
